Updates to the Gofer UI browser extension, newest first.
v1.0.3
v1.0.3
A follow-up polish pass on 1.0.2's HUD Edit Mode framework: layout auto-recovery, drag-handling fixes, and window/modal edge clamping, plus a few smaller fixes.
HUD Edit Mode, Layout & Drag Fixes
- Element layout (position/size/visibility) now automatically reapplies whenever the game itself destroys and recreates an element, e.g. selecting/deselecting a target, or a HUD rebuild after a loading screen, instead of only applying once on page load
- Drag listeners are now tracked in a WeakMap and properly removed via
MakeUndraggable, replacing the old clone-and-replace trick; an in-progress drag is now also guarded so layout auto-reapply can't fight it mid-drag - The right-click "Draggable" toggle now relabels itself "Anchor" while a position is locked in
- Clarified: most per-element "Settings" entries (Health Bar, Target, Minimap, Action Bar, Buffs/Debuffs, Exp Bar, Chat, Main Menu, Party Menu, FPS Counter) are still placeholder "coming soon" stubs, only Party Frames has a real settings panel so far
Modal & Window Positioning
- Modals and draggable windows can no longer end up positioned fully off-screen/unreachable after a drag or a restored saved position, both now clamp to stay at least partially on-screen
- Modal titles support an explicit
titleColor option
Other Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed a context-menu build race where asynchronously-built items could append out of order
- Fixed the addon list in Settings jumping/scrolling unexpectedly on re-render
- Widened the System addon's window to fit the new Items page layout
- Babble gains a new chat source: party loot distribution messages (who got what from a party loot roll) can now be shown in any panel

---
v1.0.2
Party Frames move into the new HUD Edit Mode framework, Babble and Shamanify go from stubs to featured, and the Items page gains a full rarity/color system.
System, HUD Edit Mode & Item Data
- New unified right-click "Settings" menu across HUD elements (Health Bar, Target, Minimap, Action Bar, Buffs/Debuffs, Exp Bar, Chat, Party Frames, Main Menu, Party Menu, FPS Counter); "Reset Position" now actually works instead of being a no-op
- New Items page: user-editable rarity tiers (name/threshold/color) and per-category chat colors (pets, runes, books, charms, mounts, boxes, materials, gold), each independently toggleable, powers Babble's item-link coloring and stat popups
- A new background fetch interceptor captures item data from the game's own API responses into a local cache (10-minute TTL, always keeps your own inventory) to feed the Items page without extra requests
- Porter gains a "Visual Settings" export/import (Party layout, BaseUI element positions, Shamanify icon skins) as JSON or Base64, separate from full data/history
- Shared collapsible-section styling reused across System, Babble, Shamanify, and Items instead of each duplicating its own
- Extension now requests fewer permissions,
activeTab/tabs dropped, only scripting remains
Party Frames, Now Part of HUD Edit Mode
- Party frame customization is no longer its own addon, it's a built-in HUD element edited via right-click > Settings on the frames themselves, alongside Health Bar, Target Frame, etc.
- Drag-and-drop reordering (optionally requiring Ctrl to avoid accidental drags), plus a right-click sort toolbar (Name/Class/Level, click again to reverse) and "Reset Order"; custom order persists across reloads and clears automatically when you leave/disband a party
- Cosmetic customization panel behind a single master toggle: column count/row/column gap, hide class or role icon, role icon position, bar width/height, name & health text size, full-name display, buff icon size/position, and class-colored health bars/borders
- Row-to-member matching now goes through the authoritative server roster instead of the DOM, with
GetAllPartyMembers correctly sorted by the server's order field for the first time
New Addon: Babble, Multi-Panel Chat Overlay
- Build unlimited independent chat panels instead of one fixed overlay, dock to the native chat slot or float freely, and merge panels into tabbed groups by dragging one onto another
- Per-panel channel/source filtering and styling: colors, font size, compact mode, timestamps (12/24h), hide class icon/level/clan tag, abbreviated channel names, background/border customization
- Two new message sources: system/PvP announcements (kill messages render through a fully customizable template with class/faction icons and gold/silver/copper breakdown) and loot pickup/drop notices
- Item links render with rarity-tier coloring, quality %, upgrade suffix, and stack count, and open a stat popup (Gear Score, item level, full stat breakdown) powered by the new Items page
- Right-click a name for Party invite, Friend request, Block, Report, and Whisper
- Whisper visibility now follows Chitter's "Hide whispers" toggle instead of being tracked separately; global chat is guaranteed to stay visible on at least one panel
- Existing settings auto-migrate once into an equivalent single panel so nothing changes visually on first load
Shamanify, Aura Tracking Overlay
- Floating, draggable on-screen icons for 10 tracked auras (Canine Howl, Pathfinding, Temporal Dilation, Enchantment, Arctic Aura, Crusader's Courage, Unholy Warcry, Mimir's Well, Plaguespreader, Moderator), each with a countdown timer and stack counter where applicable; Moderator shows as an infinite-duration buff
- New settings panel: master enable toggle, unlock-to-reposition, preview-all-icons mode, and per-aura icon size/timer position/stack-count corner/font size
- Fixed a race that could spawn duplicate icons when the game resends a burst of aura-applied events on reload
- Fixed a load-order race so auras active immediately on reload reliably get their saved position/appearance, not just ones applied later in the session
- Fixed a false-positive "character changed" wipe firing on the tick right after reload, before the character key had finished settling
- Auras now correctly clear immediately on an actual character swap instead of continuing to count down
Other Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed a startup race where the very first server message after page load could be treated as "addon disabled" even when enabled, across Chitter, Aura, Shamanify, and Babble
- Fixed stale player identity after swapping characters in-client without a page reload
- New API wrappers for Friend Request, Block Player, and Report Submit
- Modal titles can now be an
HTMLElement with its own color, supporting Babble/Items' colored item-name titles - Chitter renamed "Whisper Enhanced" (from "Chat Modify & Enhance") now that general chat features live in Babble
- Modelviewer now uses a dedicated icon instead of a borrowed one
- Removed the unused Combatlog addon and its dead/commented-out tracking code

v1.0.0
Gofer UI: Public Release (v1.0.0, Early Access)
Gofer UI is now available to the public! It's a browser extension (Chrome, Manifest V3) that adds a suite of quality-of-life tools on top of Hordes.io.
100% local. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
This is an early release, so some features may still be incomplete or a little rough around the edges (see Known Issues below).
Installing
Gofer UI will be distributed exclusively through the Chrome Web Store. Once listed, just install it from there and launch Hordes.io (hordes.io/play); Gofer UI injects automatically.
Requires Chrome 96+.
What's in this release
Aura: Track & Trace
Fully customizable on-screen tracking for buffs, cooldowns, and abilities: icons, cooldown overlays, progress textures, text displays, and dynamic groups.
Chitter: Chat Modify & Enhance
An overhauled chat experience with notifications, per-player chat history, and channel support.
Shamanify
A dedicated toolkit for the Shaman class, tracking key buffs like Canine Howl, Pathfinding, Temporal Dilation, Enchantment, Arctic Aura, Crusader's Courage, and Unholy Warcry.
Modelviewer
An in-browser 3D viewer for the game's model assets, with search and skin resolution.
System
Settings, addon management, help, and import/export (Porter) for your configuration, plus a credits screen.
Known issues / in progress
A few addons are included in this build but aren't functional yet, visible for transparency, not ready for real use:
- Gofer (Priority Helper): the extension's namesake feature, makes recommendations several steps ahead. Not implemented yet; panel is currently empty.
- Loadouts: save/manage equipment & skill loadouts. UI stub only, no functionality yet.
- Party: party management tools. Still in early development.
These are on the roadmap for upcoming releases.
Compatibility
Gofer may not play well with other extensions or userscripts that also modify the game UI (e.g. Tampermonkey scripts). Running these together isn't officially supported and can cause conflicts.
